Bella's Cats in Garden - $130
Phew, what a week it's been - four big cakes! This one was such a lot of fun. The customer wanted her two cats to feature in it, one grey and one brown. This is what I came up with and it's soooo cute. I made one of the cats lying on a upturned flowerpot looking at the candles while the other one was stretched up from the bottom tier, also looking at the candles. Then the cake was liberally covered with flowers, butterflies, ladybirds and a couple of snails. Fun, fun, fun.
Lyn's Wheelchair Lady - $130
A couple if firsts with this one - first time I had to try and make a wheelchair and first time I used a mould for the figure. I am pleased to say both turned out fairly well. This cake was commissioned for a lady who had been told she would never reach 60, so I put her hands in the air like she was really celebrating. The party was in a 60's theme so I matched the decorations accordingly - mini skirt and white boots. I even strung some flower beads to make a necklace and put a bead flower in her hair. She looked really cute.

Sam's Spotty - $100
Love the colours on this one. This was made as a rush job for a friend but I think it still turned out beautiful. It could be done in just one tier as in the picture, or a two-tier one would have also looked spectacular. Maybe I'll try that one later when I have free rein in creating a cake for someone.

Allie Mae's Minnie Mouse - $140
There's only one word for this cake - gorgeous! When I first got the commission I was a bit worried as to how I could marry the black hat in with such girly colours as pink and mauve, but it all came together just perfectly. I am extremely proud of this cake. Especially love the spots around the bottom layer.
