Nahliah's Princess Dora

Next time I won't have a brown background as her hair doesn't stand out enough.

Bailey's Princess Castle

How cute is this one! The colours just came together to well and girly. I also sprayed the whole cake with an edible pearl lusture which made it shine. The letters of Bailey's name were made with melted white chocolate. It was effective but time consuming.

Samantha's Princess - $140

Samantha showed me a picture of this cake and was adament this was the one she wanted. I really enjoyed making it as I love making 'girly' cakes and they don't come much more 'girly' than this one. It is three tiers with a fondant tiara on top. That was what I had the most trouble with as this one is my third attempt. I rolled out some white fondant, then cut out shapes from it. After it had dried around a glass I painted it silver, dusted it with silver glitter and added some shiny sugar balls. Gorgeous. The whole cake looked just wonderful.

Chiana's Princess Castle - $130

This is what I love about customers giving me their designs - sometimes they find a really gorgeous cake and I get the pleasure of trying to copy it. This one turned out so cute - love the little princess. The colours were so girly too.

Lily's Lady in Purple - $100

Surprisingly, this is the first time I have made a Dolly Varden cake. I really did enjoy it and feel she turned out quite glamorous. The skirt is fondant covered cake and the doll is just a waist-up doll with a pick on it to stick into the cake. I had to not only design her skirt, but dress her top as well which I did by wrapping her in purple fondant and then dusting her in lavendar glitter. I hope I get the opportunity to do more of these ones as it was fun.

Alannah's Princess Tower - $140

A mother cake to me and said her daughter was right into princesses and what could I do. In the end we came up with this. It's not your normal castle cake as we wanted something different. There are three tiers to this cake and I coloured each tier a slightly different shade of the same colour. Then a window was made and a princess moulded and placed in there. She came out really well. This is quite beautiful and very girly.
